Bournemouth International Airport

The redevelopment of the Bournemouth International Airport included new arrivals and departures buildings.

New Departures building with integral plant room -

The structures are single and multi-bay curved portal steelwork frames on traditional mass concrete foundations with reinforced concrete and power floated ground floor slabs. The external elevations comprise metal cladding and glazing.

Arrivals Terminal -

The structures are single and multi-bay steelwork frames on traditional mass concrete foundations with reinforced concrete and power floated ground floor slabs. The external elevations comprise metal cladding and glazing. The arrivals terminal has been designed to be carbon neutral. This has been achieved by aide range of energy efficient features, including the installation of 323 photovoltaic (solar) panels on the roof of the building.
