Composting Facilities

 

Colesbach

Cotesbach is a Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) facility capable of handling 50,000 tonnes of residual municipal waste each year. Situated just minutes from the M1 and M6 motorways, the facility is ideally placed in the heart of the Midlands

These composting facilities are large scale composting facilities comprising of waste reception, composting, screening, pasteurisation and maturation halls. The structures are multibay steel portal frames on reinforced concrete foundations supported on piles with reinforced concrete power floated piled ground floor slabs. The waste reception buildings receive incoming waste for initial sorting/processing prior to distribution to the main processing area of the building. The composting halls are the primary facility for processing the waste.
