Composting Facilities

This site accommodates waste treatment facility as well as a landfill gas power station. The facility is capable of treating up to 75,000 tonnes of municipal waste per year.
These composting facilities are large scale composting
facilities comprising of waste reception, composting, screening,
pasteurisation and maturation halls. The structures are multibay
steel portal frames on reinforced concrete foundations supported
on piles with reinforced concrete power floated piled ground
floor slabs. The waste reception buildings receive incoming
waste for initial sorting/processing prior to distribution to
the main processing area of the building. The composting halls
are the primary facility for processing the waste.
